Assistance Program Reports.
In response to COVID-19 and its economic fallout, the December 2020 COVID-19 relief package included billions in relief for tenants with low incomes by establishing the Emergency Rental Assistance program (ERA) under the administration of the U.S. Department of Treasury. The American Rescue Plan Act, enacted in March 2021, is providing additional funds for ERA.
The City of Memphis and Shelby County are proud to work jointly in support of individuals and families impacted by the pandemic by administering the disbursement of these funds. We are committed to being accountable and transparent in the use of the Emergency Rental Assistance dollars. This dashboard aims to share information about the program and reflects how we use data to improve our process and service delivery and determine the effectiveness of the ERA program.
